LYRICS:
Imaginary Conversations
imaginary conversations with myself
situations no one else
is in my place except me, and my mind

incendiary dialog between two
opposites me and you
find yourself quite confused, and so do I

it seems so strange, having a conversation
when I’m engaged, with my imagination…

but then again, he rules the world in his own
little world he’s alone
victories go unknown, all the time

with elevated expectations to succeed
not from avarice or greed
just a fundamental need, to be divine

but what do I know, I’m just daydreaming
sorry I couldn’t be more help
and if you do know, just what you’re needing
perhaps you’ll take it up with someone else

and in the morning, the ventilation had gone stale
he went for water with no pale
jumped a ship and he set sail, from the place

and was recruited, to spy for the C.I.A.
missions he could not say
missing and gone away, without a trace…

American Ego

the american ego is out of control
it’s like everyone wants a t.v. show

and old man once told me something I thought was real profound
he said don’t fuck nobody when you’re coming up
’cause you meet the same people on the way back down

think about it

life’s too short to base success just on making bread
and if you do have some success don’t let it swell your head

work your ass off day and night for your fifteen minutes to shine
don’t act a fool when the cameras roll or thats how you’ll be defined

the american ego is out of control, it’s like everyone wants a t.v. show

I took a walk and I saw

a homeless kid with a lap top, who asked me for some change
out in front of a coffee shop, checking out some web page

wait a minute

inside people were talking about the bills they have to pay
five bucks is too much for a gallon of gas but it’s o.k. for a latte

holly wood is bad and good, but who knows which is which
when we’ve got the staggering filthy homeless
right next to the staggeringly filthy rich

do you wanna watch it, I don’t know
are you gonna watch it, I don’t’ think so

it’s so damn easy to take it all for granted because we have so much
at dinner time we say we’re starving if we skipped our lunch, hey
the U.S.A. is a beautiful place, and we get what we want,
live is hard sometimes but then again….

Why Are We Here?
a wet mossy rock on a fire balls radar (earth and war and love)
a blue green gem on a dragons belt (earth and war and love)
a zillion little pieces of information (earth and war and love)
a speck of dust in the cosmic wealth

why are we here, where are we going

a rain of steel and a blast of cannon (earth and war and love)
a charge up and embattled hill (earth and war and love)
a flag raised in amidst of blood shed (earth and war and love)
a silver cross on a starched lapel

why are we here, where are we going, yeah yeah

the feeling of an easy lover (earth and war and love)
the longing for a warm embrace (earth and war and love)
a lingering familiar fragrance (earth and war and love)
a midnight kiss on a moonlit face

why are we here, where are we going

Never Never
I left on a journey from nowhere
I promised to call when the sun was showing
I drove through the darkness to get there
but I never had any way of knowing

that I found the never never
yes I found the never never
when I found the never never what a day…

I put my old ways in a suitcase
and left them behind to be lost and buried
so when I arrived at the new place
I wouldn’t have so much weight to carry

and most of the time
I feel alright
put my heart out front
and let it be my guide
if I’m out my mind
it feels out of sight
I’d rather fail that be one who never tried

Candy Store
I went searching for a flavor, just out side my ordinary style
something my palate would favor, to take away my worries for awhile

thats when I heard

do you want some candy? she asked me with a sparkle in here eye
her goodies looked so fancy, I’m not sure how they taste
but I’ll sure give them a try

she offered me a sweet one, so I said thank you ma’am I’m much obliged
I proceeded to eat one, and that was just the start of my crazy crazy ride

we went dancing ’round, on that marshmallow ground
she opened up my mind and wandered in
if I have too much sweets I know I can rot my teeth,
but I don’t care, no

and ever since that day forward, I knew I had a sweet and special friend
and the very next time I saw here, she was more than ready to sugar me again

just have a piece of candy, she told me like a sugar mama can
she had me feeling dandy, and I was quite convinced that I’d be here candy man

do you want some candy
I’ve been feeding my head at the candy store…

Wasting
with so many people living their lives in doubt
not really sure what it’s all about
it makes it easy to forget where we’re from
how we got here, and everything we’ve done

now here you are one step away from me, wasting our lives away
so many things have come and gone so far, wasting our lives away

some times I hear myself and don’t believe the things I say
still try convincing myself anyway
living in make believe, staying in a comfort zone
to hide the fact that I feel so alone

see the hour glass, the sand will fall, and time is swept away
feel our chances pass, the world will turn, but will we see another day

now here you are one step away from me, wasting our lives away
so many things have come and gone so far, wasting our lives away
if you could see the thing inside my mind, wasting our lives away
then you’d believe theres so much more to this than wasting our lives away
